I'll see what I can do with scanning these in....will post if readable.   Part of it I think will need to be transcribed...  It's a history of the Nutters and on the left margin is written the date & sovereign, then the text down the middle, then the right margin is her source.  There are also many family trees.    These documents are all in the Nelson library, I just copied them all (and then never looked at them!).

If it doesn't scan I can send a copy to interested nutters, I mean Nutters.

Just for reference and in case anyone else has them in their tree, these are my Nutters

Mary Nutter c 1805, from Briercliffe, married to James Brierley, they had amongst others, Benjamin Brierley in 1831. Mary's parents could be William and Ann, in which case she would have been born in 15/8/1811.

Nancy Nutter from Briercliffe, born 23rd March 1795, married Dan Foulds 1820, they had amongst others Martha Foulds in 1831. Nancy's parents I think could be Ellis and Malley Nutter but I am not sure of this.

Susan Nutter born Briercliffe c1730, she married James Kippax, they had amongst others Joshua Kippax in 1769. They lived at Hollingrove Farm, Briercliffe. In the parish records Annie sent me there is a Susan Nutter born 10/3/1737, to John Nutter, Hollingreave of parish of Burnley. Could these possibly be the same person?

As you can see I have not looked in any depth into my Nutters

Sadly, Gloria, not my Nutters.   Mine have been 100% in Barrowford as far back as I've gotten... 1775ish.

Digging through these papers I copied from Nelson library...there's a page that references Daniel Nutter as her (assuming Doreen Crowther, but not 100% sure) Grandfather, and Catharine as her mother.   This very same Daniel (married to Catherine Robinson & parents John Nutter & Marry Barrowclough) is my 3x GGFather.   But my line continues through Catharine's older brother Ben Nutter.

3. DANIEL3 NUTTER (JOHN2, WILLIAM1) was born May 17, 1824 in Barrowford, and died December 28, 1894 in Barrowford. He married CATHARINE ROBINSON Bef. 1849 (No record in St. Bartholemew, Colne or St. Thomas, Barrowf'd.), daughter of JOHN ROBINSON and MARIA ???. She was born 1826 in Barrowford, and died in Barrowford. DANIEL was a Shoemaker until apx 1855, then a Butcher & Choir Master. 1881 lived at Bowling Green, Barrowford Booth.

Children of DANIEL NUTTER and CATHARINE ROBINSON are:
4. i. BEN4 NUTTER, b. Abt. April 12, 1857, Barrowford; d. January 18, 1927, Barrowford.
ii. MARY NUTTER, b. 1849.
iii. JOHN NUTTER, b. 1851, Barrowford; d. November 02, 1876, Barrowford.
iv. MARION NUTTER, b. 1853.
v. EMMA NUTTER, b. Abt. October 14, 1855.
vi. NANNY NUTTER, b. Abt. July 03, 1859.
vii. CATHARINE NUTTER, b. Abt. May 24, 1862.   (Doreen's Mother?)
viii. HENRY NUTTER, b. Abt. June 03, 1866.
ix. DANIEL NUTTER, b. Abt. April 10, 1869, Barrowford.
x. JAMES NUTTER, b. Abt. October 22, 1871, Barrowford; d. October 26, 1871, Barrowford.
xi. CLEMENT NUTTER, b. Abt. October 22, 1871, Barrowford; d. July 04, 1872, Barrowford.
xii. HARRY NUTTER, b. 1866, Barrowford.

So I must have some relations that I haven't yet discovered!  Who can point me in the right direction???   Deb.

Thanks for looking DebDeren. Most of my Nutters are either in Marsden or Briercliffe.

Hi Gloria

Have sent my files to Doc to put on site. I tried but as I had put them in a table (Word doc) they were a trifle unclear! The headings didn't correlate to what was supposed to be under them.

Annie, I got sent some details from someone on the world tree, about a Mary Nutter. They have her

Birth/baptism as 6th April 1799 in Particular Baptist, Colne, Lancashire.

Burial 20th Nov 1849 Briercliffe, Lancashire.

Father John Nutter

Mother Mary.

Marriage 5th Jan 1812 to James (they have Jonas, but this is a mistranscription from a census) Brierley, Burnley, Lancashire

I have looked for the baptism in the lists you sent me, but the only one which includes that date is for Little Marsden and Marsden Chapel. You don't have the same for Colne Particular Baptists do you??

I am wondering if any of you have families that connect with my Nutters? They are in Great Marsden at 2 Church view, in 1891. Father is Richard Nutter, Mother is Agnes (nee Proctor) and children are John Thomas, Eleanor, Maggie, Mary and there is mention of an Arthur in the 1881 census, who isn't on the 1891 version. I have a possible entry for Richard in the 1851 census where he is a 4 yr old, son of John Nutter and Mary (still in Great Marsden) with siblings Margaret 8months, Nancy 10yrs, Sarahann 5 and Susannah 2.?

Hi Gloria

My earliest Mary is 1823 and sorry I  haven't got Peculiar Baptists - plenty of odd Nutters! LOL

I did however get a couple of Wesleyan Nutters. I still have a lot to do in that dept.

Sorry Belle, no luck there either!

Annie
