Gus this was the temporary wooden mock up memorial erected during the fund-raising stage for the granite memorial that we have now. I knew it was on Fernlea Avenue but this is a new view to me too. I have seen another photo but taken from the other side of the road so it's not as easy to see the exact position. After a roundabout trip via Letcliffe Park the actual memorial is not far from where the mock up was erected back in 1920/21? I think the actual memorial was commissioned and installed in 1923.
