OGFB member for many years Maureen Harrison (known to us as Moh) passed away on Friday March 8th in Blackburn Royal Hospital. Her funeral was held on Monday 18th March in Burnley.

I had a dreadful feeling that was the case, as she kept in contact quite regularly and she was doing it tough last time she emailed me. I didn't know if Fred was able to use the computer to let people know.
Oh dear. So sad. Lovely lady. My thoughts go out to Fred and family.

I thought so too Maz, she was suffering so much pain when she posted those last few times. I could try and contact her daughter Jayne through Facebook to express our condolences if everyone thinks that would be the right thing to do.

Very sad to hear. Love to you and yours Moh and thanks for being part of OG, always enjoyed interacting with you.
God Bless RIP

A Facebook post is a good idea. I wonder how Moh's husband is.
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here. :)

Very sad to learn about Moh. My sympathies to her family.

RIP also Roger Charlery aka Ranking Roger from the Beat. We saw him perform last year with his son Ranking jnr. and they were absolutely top dollar.

We don't drink alcohol during the week, but our lovely Moh has gone, and our power just went out ( website says it will be 5 hours before it comes back on). Sun is setting, so we are going outside to watch the sunset and have a glass of Red for Moh.
Cheers Moh!

So sad to hear of Moh's passing. I think it's an excellent idea Wendy if you can manage to contact her daughter to pass on our condolences.

I could provide a link to this page. I see that Moh's account was accessed on the 17th March, perhaps she popped in to say goodbye.
She enjoyed her red wine I think, so I too will raise a glass to Moh.

RIP Moh. I thought I'd seen something on FB about her passing and I was going to share on here but when I went to check it I couldn't find it. I didn't want to share in case I was mistaken. Nolic

I have just sent a private Facebook message to Jayne expressing our condolences, we arent "friends" but hopefully she will see it. If not I'll track down an address so we can send a card to Fred. I think they live up Briercliffe Road in Burnley but I'm not sure where exactly.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. We first became acquainted as she used to live near my Dad, and knew him by virtue of seeing him most days trundling past on his mobility scooter. A sad loss. RIP Moh

And this morning we hear that Chewbacca has also died. (LINK)

Bob Hawke (age 89).
Australia's third longest serving Labor Prime Minister 1983-91.
He established Medicare for Australia (your NHS).
He was quite a character and well respected.

Niki Lauda is dead. (LINK). I have always admired the way he fought back after getting terribly burned in a crash, he had bad health for the rest of his life but overcame it. A big loss for F1.
