Looks like the main culprits were in the last few IP's I put in the Firewall rules that didn't load at the time because the site was saturated. Completing the loading looks like we are sorted for now. Why is it always the last ones you come to that does the trick?

I've been listening to traders and wholesalers discussing the changes in documentation and inspection that are hitting them. The overall picture is that Brexit has triggered changes which will add expense, waste time and have reduced trade between the UK and abroad, particularly Europe.
Further, they say that the authorities haven't got their act together, can't give straight answers and are working on 9 'til 5 timetables when the industry is 24 hours. In short, it's a disaster.
Let's see, who do we blame for Brexit?

Meat and dairy products, plants and seeds are among the goods subject to physical checks when imported to Britain from the European Union from Tuesday. The second phase of border controls kicked in from midnight and have been introduced as part of the UK's Brexit trade agreement. But businesses have warned the trade checks, which will see import costs increase immediately, are expected to hit smaller companies hardest and lead to price rises being passed on to customers for certain products. The government said its new border model would "improve our biosecurity", adding the costs for businesses would be "negligible compared to the impact of a major outbreak of a plant or animal disease", such as foot and mouth.
In terms of increasing costs to customers and the effects it will have on imports this is far more serious than at first meets the eye. The traders point out that it is the small specialist firms who will suffer the most and many will stop trading.

A fast and feisty shrew has been running all over our house since 4.30am this morning with 3 cats and myself trying to corner it. The cats have their excuses I suppose, two of them only have 3 legs each and the four legged one is deaf and blind in one eye. It's too early in the morning for me!

It's gone to ground somewhere Cathy and the cats have all got bored. I'm hoping to catch sight of it before they do next time it emerges! Shrews are likely to bite if you hold them so I have catching equipment handy!

Have you got one of those nets sold for use with garden ponds? A length of bamboo cane with a net on one end. It will give you a longer reach. Bring it down over the shrew, slip a sheet of card under, flip it over and bingo! One shrew taken into custody for its own protection!

What has grabbed my attention is that John and his mate, my builders, are here and are going to be on the roof and the water ingress all day. I am a very happy bunny.

Try and get it to safety outside when the cats aren't watching!

I do have a fishing net Tiz and might employ it later! I was ready with a plastic container and a piece of card, the normal spider catching equipment.

I am a happy bunny. They have pointed up the hole in the wall where the water was getting in, Cleaned out all the gutters and re-sealed the joints. Our a new cowl on the chimney and inspected the roof.
To round off the day, I got a delivery, the vinegar I ordered the day before yesterday. All for a very reasonable price.
