I just found this website called Connected Histories. It connects various resources with one search facility. Could be useful.

Same here, sites like that are so useful. I love finding connections but of course always forget what they were unless I make a note. One of the pitfalls of research into one subject is that it's easy to lose sight of what was happening elsewhere at the same time. For that reason I find timelines very useful, they can give you clues.
