Wycoller Hall Fireplace

Wycoller Hall Fireplace
The famous inglenook fireplace inside the ruined Wycoller hall dates from 1774 though the hall in its present form dates from the early 17th century. The niche at the right-hand side was probably a storage place for logs. The Cunliffe family, in one form or another, lived in the hall until 1818. Henry Owen Cunliffe the last of the family line died there on 8th November 1818 aged 66 years. [Photo copyright Sunray10].
