Don't confuse the little Gulf Stream with the majestic Atlantic Meridional Ocean Circulation (AMOC)!

I wouldn't rule out tipping points. I'm not thinking of one big single tipping point that would be catastrophic worldwide, that's unlikely but individual ones could cause considerable upsets. The deep ocean currents that circle the globe could be changed suddenly by loss of ice at the poles.
