Re: THE FLATLEY DRYER

I seem to recall my education telling me that gender was a grammatical term for the distinction between masculine, feminine and neuter, whereas sex was the distinction between male, female hermaphrodite. Somewhere along the timeline the word gender started to be used in place of the word sex for the...

Thank you ,bodger. You're welcome. Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS

Right again, Gloria. Almost exactly 100 years ago John `Jack' Alcock and Arthur `Teddy' Brown made the first non-stop flight over the Atlantic, 1,890 miles in 15 hours and 57 minutes - and carrying Twinkletoes and Lucky Jim, the two cat toy mascots. Brown came from the posh Chorlton-cum-Hardy area o...

You're not alone, Sue. I don't think anybody fully understands the issue now and, as others say here, there's a lot of lying and misinformation going on. Good point Tiz. Remember the condemned meat scandals and the horse-burgers? The defence used by the supermarkets was that they had to trust their suppliers. Let's have a look at some facts: There are roughly 400 parts per million CO 2 in the air. Nature produces 97% of that and human activity is responsible for the other 3%, that's all farming, industry, mining and transport. And the governments of the World are going to tax the hell out of you to redu...

Ian, in your comparisons of prices and costs have you factored in the fee for cancellation of your present contract if you move? It can sometimes be very high. Watch out for any of them dragging you into a very long contract too.
