Have you got one of those nets sold for use with garden ponds? A length of bamboo cane with a net on one end. It will give you a longer reach. Bring it down over the shrew, slip a sheet of card under, flip it over and bingo! One shrew taken into custody for its own protection!

I logged in sometime between 09.00 and 10.00 with no problem and did one post. Later, probably between 10.00 and 11.00 I couldn't log in, just got the whirling symbol on Firefox. Left it a little while and it was still the same. Thanks for all your work, Ian and Wendy!
