I managed to reuse the speaker cabling from the Sony system it replaced but had to reroute a lot of it, the Sony had the amplifier under the TV so all the speaker cables came from there. The Bose has t...

Re: Wine Lovers Corner
I've just bought a Sainsbury's meal deal for two, salmon en croute, cauliflower cheese, tiramisu and a bottle of wine for £12. I don't think I'd pay £229 for a bottle to be honest

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY
A timely reminder - make sure your stock of vinegars does not run down. It has an almost eternal shelf life, and doesn't take up much room. They say you can get smear free windows using the White variety, but I haven't tested it yet. The balsamic (of course) is the Aldi cheap variety, but quite ple...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
I've given up waiting for a physio appointment with the NHS. I got the open referral letter and contacted my medical insurer this morning, initial assessment is at 5:30 this afternoon. Initial assessment and a session of 'manipulation' done. The 5ft slip of a girl has strong hands and I am certainl...

Re: Boiled Fruit Cake
It's proper with one extra comment despite having 1 hour 20 it could still have done with another 10 minutes. Of course, could be our oven or the shelf setting. It's fully cooked and but could have done with being a bit firmer in the centre. Learning curve for me as I don't normally do big cakes. :...

Playing with the birds in the woods at Thoresby Hall. The trees sheltered us from the wind so the birds were able to fly. Todd the Harris Hawk, Domino a Spectacled Owl, which normally eats small monkeys, Bluebell a Great Grey Owl and Todd a Peregrine Falcon. They were all on their best behaviour and...
