Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

My recipe folder was getting over full, so I bought two new folders and had a good clean out as I rearranged things. All organised neatly now. Some recipes got thrown out because I will never find a reason to cook them even if I live to be 100. :laugh5: after looking at all those pictures of delicio...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

I am at the point where I can't stand the sight of them. If they can't cope with life, marriage and having a baby -with all the resources, wealth and staff at their fingertips - then there is no hope for any of us. Just "shut up and get on" I say. There are others with bigger problems. Those brother...

Re: FORGOTTEN CORNERS

Can you tell me why, on these old maps, the trees are noted. It has always had me wondering...there must be some reason behind it.
Was it just a landmark to establish where you are on the map, when reading it at ground level?

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS

Brings back memories. I hated the MRI. I had to go in all the way as they were doing my lower spine. No headphones...no panic button...no one spoke to me the entire time or explained the noises I would hear. Frightened me to death being entombed in that small space, unable to move, not knowing how l...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

A hasty hotel booking and being turned on by a woman who was not Mrs Big Kev? We are off to some country markets today...well...once Febby has finished fiddling in the van. Our broom holder, that sits quietly out of the way next to my seat, fell off. It had one of those heavy duty sticky backings an...

Windy again! We had our usual walk, but it is not nice out there at all, so quiet pursuits indoors. I have some knitting on the go and also a book that is three quarters read. Pity I can't knit and read at the same time!

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Families are funny things. Sometimes family members are told to "go away" by other, more forceful family members. So they "go away", thinking that is what the loved one at the centre of attention wants and to butt out will bring the loved one tranquility when they need it. Then they get sledged for ...

I liked Catgate! He had a wonderful sense of the ridiculous and he made me laugh...one of those people who approached life from a sideways angle AND made me rethink some things. I didn't find him offensive at all.

She cannot stand the smell of Beer or toothpaste though, and will not come for a cuddle if you have either just drank a beer or cleaned your teeth. For both of those, she sneezes and turns away.

My son's Labrador LOVES Pizza. The word Pizza cannot even be spoken in the house without the dog doing loop the loop and going crazy. She knows! And she will knock you down to get it too!
She also loves Carrot, Cheese, Tomato and Apples.
She loves hot chips too...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

I'm in a pickle...someone may be able to help with an idea or recipe ( hopefully) I purchased 200g of Sliced Corn Beef today - haven't tasted Corned Beef for over 40 years - but there it was behind the glass in the butcher section looking ever so nice and fresh. I instantly thought I could chop it a...
