Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

According to my previous post ( and if I don my dishevelled Columbo Coat) , I would say you lot were " Northerners"!
Not quite as North as Glasgow, as no one has mentioned Champagne... ( which is just as well because I cannot drink Champagne...it goes straight to my legs)...

Apart from looking like a bit of well used kitchen paper...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

From what I gather from reports we have had, the farther South you live in the UK, the more likely you are to have loved her.
The farther North you live in the UK, the more you didn't!
(to the point where they said the Glaswegians were toasting her demise with Champagne...)

Re: OBITUARIES

Every time I think of Thatcher I think of three things. She was a trail blazer ( in terms of women striving to reach the glass ceiling) She was trapped in an era and yet her posh voice was from a former era! ( in other words she talked like she had toffee sticking her top teeth to her bottom teeth) ...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Yes...I love Fish Finger Butties too. Fish Fingers must be cooked crisp, and I like lettuce, mayo and cheese in the butty too. Hubby won't eat them, so I haven't had them for many a long year. I do find it amazing that fishes fingers all grow to the same size.. Made some very tasty beef patties for ...

Could be a miracle. Just think...you could have a miracle duck. Wilbur had a miracle, through Charlotte. I say SAVE the duck....and wait at least twelve months for the coming miracle... :goodidea: Lovely sunny day here. Have been out looking at houses for both son and step-son...a job I quite enjoy....

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

No excuses at all.
We don't get them free here. Cost about £70 each for the ten year battery ones a Nd you can instal them yourself.
Costs about £150 each (!)for the hard wired ones and you must have an electrician instal them.

Stanley...SMOKE ALARMS...not working? Either get them hard wired or at least get ten year batteries. You should have at least three in the house ( we have four...all hard wired to the leccy). They could save your life. Carbon Monoxide one should be installed too... I am deadly serious. Are you liste...
