Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

Is it that people have so little self worth that Covid restrictions are beyond their daily grasp?

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

But WHY in that area? Is it wayward youths wandering the streets and refusing to stay home, a pub culture, small crowded households, small crowded shops? I don’t really understand. How is living in these areas contributing to the spread of disease?

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

The message they seem to be projecting is “ if we had of tested less, our numbers would look better (!) and we wouldn’t know there were so many cases (!) and wouldn’t we all look good and feel so much better about things not knowing that so many people were sick (!) The vision of an Ostrich with its...

Re: Back Under Canvas

It is generally the same with solid sides, Panbiker. ( I cook and serve....and he sits and enjoys!) My relief comes from carefully pre-preparing favourite meals that can simply be reheated and enjoyed, unless it is a BBQ and he will cook. I remember when we were in snow ( freezing it was) and I did ...

Re: Back Under Canvas

This tent of my son’s already has a history, Panbiker. They went “halves” in the purchase and things to go into the tent. After their holiday, they broke up ( probably for the fifth or sixth time back then...though they have never lived together and have broken up and got back together a few times s...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

Some postcodes in Victoria are in lockdown once again, and our internal borders remain closed to them. If they come, they must self isolate for two weeks at their own expense. They blame the fresh outbreak on lax private security guards that allowed those in isolation to skip out of the hotel. No mo...

Re: Back Under Canvas

My son and his girlfriend bought a tent and all the gear early last year. The inside of the tent had pockets in it, into which he put his sunglasses for safe keeping. Packed the tent up and came home, realising his very expensive sunglasses were still inside the pocket inside the tent! They remain t...

Re: Back Under Canvas

No canvas for us. Get something with wheels on. Get something with solid sides, a fridge, microwave, a stove, air conditioning, a proper dining area, a tv, interior lights, a kitchen sink, a wardrobe, power points, beds, a pantry and a water tank. :laugh5: I’m too damaged to crawl about on all fours...

It wasn’t supposed to sound derogatory....when folk over there hear me speak, I’ve been referred to a certain comedian! Can’t think of his name now, and I had to look it up at the time.

I want to know more about the latest Loch Ness photo. ( historically, when the economy is low, they like to have a new discovery about this Old Chestnut).

Thank you.
I see my Margaret Clark there with HLW next to it. What does HLW mean?

Ahhhh...think I have solved my own question. I see she was listed as a Hand Loom Weaver on a couple of Census entries.

Do you have anything on Stocks, north of Bracewell? A medieval abandoned village, but I had folk living there 1800 - 1860.

Re: Test for videos posted on Facebook

I refuse to go on FB.
I think the thing with Apple devices is that their “LIVE” shot videos won’t work anywhere else, but ordinary videos might. I shall go back to my ordinary videos, and see if there is owt suitable to test.

Re: Test for videos posted on Facebook

Here is a test... a “live” video of my son’s dear old dog walking in the park. As a “ live” video, it may have a symbol up in the top left hand corner and if you press on the video image, it should show the dog walking ( son and I both have Apple devices).
