Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Gosh...what did you choose, Russ? I only did the Lasagne this morning because we were out this afternoon and I knew we would home late. So nice to shove the Lasagne in the oven, and steam some veg, whilst we sat and enjoyed a glass of wine in front of TV. I absolutely hate having to stand and cook a...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

I don't have any Coffee ones to check carbs, but the Butterscotch ones are 0.03g carbs per sweet. And I estimate they cost about 20p per sweet. They come in a pack of 15...and somehow they tend to last a week between the 2 of us, but I suspect hubby had the lions share as I enjoy them but am not bot...

I tell a fib. I think the Butterscotch ones have 16 calories.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

We buy sugar free sweets from the chemist. They have a big range, but, after sampling, we only like two of the range in that brand ( Expresso Coffee and the other is Butterscotch flavour). Gosh they are nice, and the Expresso Coffee ones are very hard to get hold of, so I buy 3or 4 bags at a time if...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Absolutely Moh! I still have to think about what I cook because hubby has Diabetes. He was "pre-diabetic" for about 15 years and is only now in the low Diabetic range of Blood Sugar readings (diet controlled and no medication required). So we must be doing something right to keep him stable this lon...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Homemade Red Salmon Patties, Steamed Veg ( Carrots/Sprouts/Peas/Broccoli/Potato), with Avocado and a White Herbed Sauce. I never manage to eat all my meal these days, but I did enjoy what I ate...a bit of everything. I have recently lost 4 kilos, and for ME, the answer seems to be just pushing the p...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

I'm glad I am not the only one reading things and chanting my mantra "I must not say anything"! My mouth tends to trip over my resolve at times, and I tend to say things that prove unpopular. Stanley tends to get a bit cross with me on occasion ....( but he worships YOU Wendy, so you are safe). Mind...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

I've had a bath and been for 3 "wees" during the service! I'm afraid I would be no good in the congregation. They must have deprived themselves of fluids for days to be able to withstand it.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Watching the BBC/UKTV coverage of the wedding. Nothing on yet but blah blah blah, so might pop and have a bath! Unfortunately, there is not much else on. Some sort of wedding coverage on every second channel. There is always the football, I suppose.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

I still believe any cook worth their salt should be able to cook a meal on anything, from a Bunsen Burner to a top of the range stove. I admit that the past few weeks have been labour intensive, but we have survived. The electric frypan was a chore. The microwave was a challenge at times too. I am p...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

Ok everyone...I have obviously missed the topic where everyone has an angle on the Royal Wedding. Which topic do I go to? The buzz is growing and I have to know what you are all thinking.
Or is there no topic? ( nobody gives a "rats"?)

Re: Family Matters

Fair enough.
I've never heard of the term "person centred counselling", so that's why I asked.
( wouldn't all counselling be person centred?)
I've never had counselling so I wouldn't know.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Cooking fish in the electric frypan, which will hiss and spit all over me. ( the electric frypan is going in the bin as soon as my kitchen is up and running again, as it makes such a mess with its spatter). Carpenter and gas plumber coming tomorrow to instal the new stove. Hallelujah! About time too...

Mother's Day here....so we had Pizzas...delivered.
We have lived here 4 years, and it is our first home delivery ( of anything!), so that was a history making pleasure!
