Had to read that twice. You mean the nurses were about 30 years old. It read that your legs were 30 years old and I just had a mental picture of you rolling about on your backside for the first 50 years of your life! :laugh5:

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY

You just want to hear it again, don't you Panbiker. Yes, you have lovely legs and look better than most in bike shorts. ( I bet your ears have tinged pink now). My hubby used to have lovely soccer players legs...until they hacked into one of them trying to find enough vein for his triple heart bypas...

Re: LIGHTS IN THE SKY 2013

And I have to say that the "sounds" of the city are different. Booming head banging music in bookstores and £2 T-shirt shops doesn't do it for me! ( and I was a teenager in the 70s when we loved these things). And I saw so many twiggy-legged 12 year old girls with their backsides hanging out of supe...

Re: LIGHTS IN THE SKY 2013

"Town" was once for high end shops. There is a greater proportion of "cheap" shops now. Maybe that is the great equaliser in these modern times, but we get enough cheap shops in the suburbs where shop rents are lower. Town is not what it used to be. One used to dress up to go to town! I came away th...

Re: LIGHTS IN THE SKY 2013

I spent over 3 hours wandering all the big stores and central shopping district in town yesterday. Can't say I felt any magic at all. It was very disappointing. ( the windows were very ordinary too!)

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY

Likely it took them longer to put you to sleep and wake you up than it did to do the op. The rest of the time, they were chatting about the cricket!

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS

Having a bit more washing is normal, Stanley. It can take a day to settle. Don't forget the warm shower technique if spasms become annoying. The warm water is very comforting and aids flow. ( now you know why I pack a wide necked bottle in the car for our 2 hour drive home) Have they given you sache...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Worry not Mags. Easily said I know, but it is quite a quick procedure. He is no Spring Chicken, and I would be quite surprised if it didn't mean a night in hospital. Depends how early they operate and how late they discharge I suppose. ( and as a dedicated smoker, how well his lungs cope with anaest...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

If you have bladder irrigation, they won't push oral fluids until it is removed, Stanley. So 2 nights in hospital ( if you stay) so we won't hear from you until Thursday? Take Care ( and I wouldn't worry too much about the decontamination. Soap and a shower is just as good. The staff don't have to b...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

We just had grilled Ham/Cheese/Tomato Sandwiches last night. Nice now and then.
Must make more of and effort tonight and have taken some top grade Minced Beef from the freezer. I'm not sure what I will do with it yet, but the possibilities are endless.

I was possessed today...must have been possessed...to make some Cadbury Red Velvet Truffles (from the Cadbury Website). All went well until I had to dip them in melted chocolate. Melted Chocolate and I have never been friends. They were looking like a dog's breakfast when I put them in the fridge to...
