Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY

Ah this is another way that we differ Marilyn. I prefer showers with the hot water running down my back and working it's magic. And any dirt that comes off me is taken straight down and into the drain, rather than lying in it. :surprised: By the time you have run your bath and got in, I have finishe...

Just thought I would ask in the off-chance that you might read his name while trawling thru JB Griffin. You seem to be giving bits of info about a lot of people who lived in Barlick and had business 's etc.

Re: GROWING OLD!

On Wednesday I was walking up the sloped walk-way heading for the bus and 2 elderly women using walkers were heading towards me, so I stood to the left to give them more room and this #@*&? came from behind them and ran thru us all. Then I was 2 steps away from stepping up and into the bus another #...

Re: DIALECT AND WORD MEANINGS

I've just learnt a new word. Roiled.
"While visiting her doctor, her stomach roiled with nerves."
It means to make (a liquid) torbid or muddy by disturbing the sediment. Can also mean to feel or show anger.

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS

Well after calling the hospital three times over a few hours to see how Marilyn was then finally getting thru to her, we spoke for about 30 seconds then she had a nurse visit so that was that, but she tells me she is fine, just very hungry... That was about an hour ago and hopefully she has been fed...
