I remember during lockdown my little street was visited every day by so many white vans (couriers), Aust. Post vans, and supermarket trucks. Today your lucky if you see one of each.
It’s mainly just normal residents vehicles now.

Re: Seen in the News
Guess what I came across today...
Brown paper shopping bags with handles at one of my local supermarkets.
Good for those shoppers that forget their canvas shopping bag.
They have had the paper ones for 2 weeks.

It would be interesting if we could come back in 200yrs time (with memories of today), to see what had changed and if humans were living cleaner and greener life’s, worldwide.

Re: Seen in the News
I have quite a few 100% cotton bags , from the Cotton On shops. Thanks for reminding me, I will start right now. I bought the other ones while at check-outs, thinking that they took up little space and were just what I needed for small shops. That’s exactly what the supermarket wanted me to think. G...

Re: Seen in the News
I suppose we could have strong paper bags , provided by the shop, and hopefully with strong handles, for purchases from say the chemist, clothes shops, newsagents etc. They could be re-used many times if kept dry. But then you will want a bag to put all those small bags in, to make them easier to ca...

Re plastics The average consumer is made to feel guilty because of the damage that plastic causes. Most of us do what we can to use things for as long as possible, then put them into the recycling. How much ends up in land-fill , I wonder? I read recently that even bio-degradable bags don’t fully br...

Thanks Tize. The American Oak in Surrey is amazing. I’d love to hug the bits that I could touch.
And to lie on the ground looking up to the canopy of the Tasmanian trees would be lovely too.

Here’s a corner of my garden , taken yesterday thru the window, so as not to scare the birds away. (No that isn’t a snake on the pavers) And a lovely pick ‘of someone else’s garden’ being visited by 6 Kookaburras and a Maggie. 33502C3E-F882-4103-8326-2689CC395734.png 0177132C-8B36-44FD-8D79-EE042969...

I’ve never felt the need to be around lots of people. I did miss people during lock-down but I wasn’t ‘going nuts’.
What I wanted was a bit more space and to see as much sky as I could each day.

This one is a little bit naughty...
A husband asked his wife if he was the only one she’d ever been with.
She considered this and replied,
“Yes. The rest were all sevens and eights.”

Interesting Tize. I guess some of those that basically only need a computer and the internet to do their jobs have recognised an opportunity. I wonder how many have bought houses that the previous owners lost, due to lack of business during COVID? I don’t think people are moving to the country ‘in d...
