Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
Normally saturday morning is down to the swimming pool and a good chat to the lads putting the world to right. Instead it will be grass cutting round the garden. Not one of my favourate pastimes walking behind noisy mowers but its an ½ mile walk in anybody's money.

Hayfever symptoms are producing some funny looks from people. Just because I'm sneezing doesn't mean I have the plague To paraphase the old adage 'When Big Kev sneezes everybody does a runner. Usually quote as 'when America sneezes...... ' I was surprised to find it originated in Napoleonic France....

Almost finished my vegetable conversion patch. A bit more raking over to get the levels right and remove some of the smaller stones then its down to Sainsburys for some grass seed to cover 10 yds X 5 yds. 1 ½ to 2 kg should do. Getting a bit fed up of this patch I'll be glad to move on. . P4230420.J...

Virgin Atlantic is 51% owned by Branson and 49% by Delta (American). Delta have declared they will not put any more money into Virgin Atlantic. Branson is not a UK tax payer and airline profits are channeled through the Cayman Islands. Why should the UK get involved in trying to support this company...

Sorry to appear a merchant of doom and gloom. The forecast is for the prevailing conditions to last into the foreseeable future, Not quite sure how long that is. But if we go back to the Cygnus report that predicted that 50% of the population would get the infection then that applies equally, if not...

Tough luck. May I suggest you gripped it on the outer diameter so when you drilled the hole there wasn't enough wall section left to withstand the gripping load. it then collapsed under the stress. Moral... Don't do it again.

More worrying for the US. They need a price of around $25 to break even. Now with nowhere to store the stuff you can only leave it in the ground. Shutting down the American oil fields will put millions out of work. No wonder Trump wants to get things going again. The balance is more deaths of ordina...

Wow, Thanks for all that! I'm going to look the theatre up. It may have been Leybourne's theatre. Oooh! Very exciting! Sent to me by my good friend Ken Ranson a couple of old paper cutting from 'The Stage' Aug 1897 and July 27 1897. It may be another avenue for you to investigate. . Theartre 1.jpg ...

Digging again then lots of soil spreading. The problem is the patch is on a slope and the veg patch was built up along one side to compensate, now it has to be returned back in line with the surrounding grass. Its turning the clock back 30 years but I haven't figured how to turn my clock back. :bigg...

Today is still digging for Britain, Yesterday's good idea changed as we went along. A clematis which had been badly damaged through tree felling was to be dug up and replaced by another different shrub in a slightly different spot. As work progressed the root system came out in one big lump without ...

I am signing out again. ( shaking my head in disbelief) I think if we all took any notice of the government we would all be signing out.
