Re: POLITICS CORNER
And meanwhile until the sleaze dies down. The Brexit trade position takes a turn for the worse. Of course our right-wing media are trying to put the best gloss on it as they can. Headline GDP has risen 0.4% all clap your hands. but GDP is a useless measurement eg. if people returned to work on half ...

Joseph Priestley, and Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier got a lot nearer to the truth with their experiments. It should all be in the book that you have offered to loan to me. No rush with it I've just picked up two more from the Library. PS, Libraries are now open on a limited access basis. Very well co...

Will Brenda down size from Windsor Castle? Of course its the Royal residence owned by the Royal family that is until it burnt down then suddenly it became a public liability. Don't wish Brenda any harm but when she goes that should be it and end of all this Royalty nonsense.

Greensill did get one contract under the emergency measures, no competing tendering, but it had nothing to to with Covid supplies so why emergency measure and not the normal procedure? Something odd going on with Brexit and its affect on the UK economy. Almost daily we see charts on the Covid virus ...

Even if you get through it and it does get more boring towards the end there is always a feeling he is missing a lot out and not giving the full story about what GCHQ is up to in the world.

Lined up for my first indoor swim at lunch time. Don't Know how I'll manage with this mop on my head. At least the chlorine will bleach the roots to match the rest of it. The Gods were against me for garage painting. Managed to wash the paneling down with warm soapy water to get the green algae off ...

I think we worry too much, the western energy has been an excess of CO2 over natural levels, mature trees balance 0 and C02 over a year. Plant hedges. Yes humans have been producing too much carbon dioxide but trees only retain a balance within themselves. CO2 in, C captured and O output until it d...

If anyone invades your body, procedure, operation, drugs or even Sunday newspaper stuff, they need your agreement to do so. If the outcome goes wrong then litigation may be in order to prove neglect. I don't think you have totally waved all your rights but it could be very expensive to prove otherwi...

Pity he didn't think that when he had Greensill acting as his unpaid un-appointed private adviser. The next question is how far back did these backroom deal go. Nod nod, wink wink. Did Greensill spot that Cameron having made a balls of Brexit was ripe for picking?

Its nice to know that 'Smoke filled rooms' is still alive and kicking. A smoke-filled room (sometimes called a smoke-filled back room) is a secret political gathering or round-table-style decision-making process. The phrase is generally used to suggest an inner circle of power brokers, as at a conve...

Re: ENERGY MATTERS
How about this for an unintended consequence of electric cars. Obviously we will burn less fossil fuel and therefore less carbon dioxide. Since we are not combining the Carbon with oxygen C+(O2) therefore a surplus of oxygen. Dangerous stuff is oxygen sets things on fire and makes things oxydise.
