Sorry folks, I must not have asked my question clearly enough.
In 1963 Dr James Deans Rankin (deceased) property was called Kirklands (church lands) when it was sold to the Barnoldswick Masonic Hall Ltd.
I was asking, when and who named it so ??
Any takers ?

Hi I am trying to find out when the Vicarage was named Kirklands and who named it so??

I have searched the census and Electoral rolls with no success, can anyone help with details please.

Could anyone help me find history on this old place ?
When it became a maternity home, what it was before and when it ceased being a MH. Is it the carvery as we know today?

Stanley, your comment is interesting regarding the foundation, do you have a picture or drawing of any kind, showing the original building, as you describe ?
I would be very interested if anyone has conclusive info about the buildings history.
