Re: BARNOLDSWICK WAR MEMORIAL RE-DEDICATION

I would like to congratulate Peter Thompson and the team that has worked tirelessly to bring together the re-dedication of the War Memorial. I know from e-mails we have shared that at times he has been overwhelmed with the responsibility. It can't have been easy at all with the many set backs the te...

HMHS Rohilla Centenary

2014 marks the centenary of the tragic loss of the SS Rohilla and 84 lives, it is only fitting that this sad incident is marked and to that end a steering group was formed to plan suitable activities. I was the primary contact with the BBC and spent five and half mont...

Re: The Barlick War Memorial Group

I'm so pleased that this whole project is progressing so well, I have come into this much later than you all but I very impressed with your efforts. Most of you may appreciate that my interest is SS Rohilla and in particular the members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade men who endured the tragedy. ...

Re: The Barlick War Memorial Group

This has been such a honourable cause and I am overwhelmed at how fantastic the memorial looks now preserved for future generations. All those involved deserve recognition, it is too easy for such relics to be left uncared for.
