On April 13th in hospital in Brighton after declining health, my Dad, Brian Bannister. Brian was born in Nelson in 1928 to Albert and Dorothy, both weavers with a strong Methodist faith which was to be his rock throughout his life. Hello Kathleen, I'm the member Stanley referred to, my 3x great grandmother Rachel was WP Atkinson's older sister. Sadly, my dad has just died so I'm not able to enter into any great detail until after we've had the funeral and I can think straight, so much to do & organise. He wasn't a Barlick ...

Re thrutching - my dad used this word in connection with babies filling their nappies, and of course sometimes their top end would be posseting!
