In my great grandma’s family we had a soldier called Private Thomas Pickering who was in the Northumberland Fusiliers, Thomas had a brother inlaw called Private Fred Windle who was in the Coldstream Guards .

I would like to ask for more information on Hilda & Elsie Pickering , who worked at Bancroft Mill , would be cool to know if they were related to my great grandma.

I would really love to see what they look like and to see what they did as jobs . I’ve put posts on every Barnoldswick & Blackburn Facebook page , I’ve contacted nearly every Pickering & Marsden going in those areas , my great grandmas mother was a Marsden before marrying into the Pickerings .
