Tommy Steele Story (1957) Majestic Theater.

Remember watching "The Tommy Steel Story" at the Majestic Theater in Barlick (1957). Theater was full of us kids for the early matinee. Thought the movies was great. :-) Tommy Steel, I'm guessing, must be in his 80's already. England's version of Elvis Presley.

Re: Barlick Fish & Chips & Ginger Beer.

Here in Chicago, Illinois, there a a few places that serve fish n chips, but they don't compare to those in England. There is one pub (The Duke of Perth) that serves good fish n chips.

Barlick Fish & Chips & Ginger Beer.

Was thinking about Barnoldswick today when I was 9-10 years of age. My parents would give me some pocket money every Saturday so I could treat myself to a movie over at the Majestic theater and after that some fish n chips and a bottle of ginger beer on Church Street. I remember they would wrap the ...

Re: Stanley's abysmal site skills

Again, Stanley, not trying to cause any animosity here, but being that I'm not too tech savy, I find the new format more complicated than the older one. Perhaps if I hang out here and play with it, everything may fall into place. Thank you sir.

Re: Stanley's abysmal site skills

Unfortunately this happens when things tend to be fixed that don't need fixing. I found the original OGFB website to be more user friendly and easier to navigate.

Difficulty re-registering

Hi everybody, I wasn't aware OneGuyFromBarlick had a brand new format. I'm an old member, but, had to re-register once again as a brand NEW member. When I tried to sign on with my regular SN (Zeke) and old password I wasn't able to sign on. Oh, well, at last all is well again. Best Wishes, Zeke...
