This morning first thing it was just starting to rain and since then a breeze has developed and slightly heavier rain. The glass has fallen to 998mb a...

Plans set out in the 2019 election campaign indicated the budget would increase by 3.3% a year above inflation during this P...

THE BRACEWELL STORY

WHAT’S IN A NAME? I’ve got a story to tell you about Barlick. It goes back 500 years and is a rollercoaster ride of birth, life, love, death, betrayal and ultimate survival. It’s taken me thirty years to get to the stage where I feel I know enough to go public with it but my usual public health warn...

See THIS BBC reort about MPs dancing on the head of as pin as Sunak rattles his sabre. MPs arrested for serious sexual or violent offences could be banned from attending Parliament under new plans approved on Monday. It comes despite the government putting forward a motion that recommended MPs are o...

I gave my dinner suit to Susan for a fancy dress evening with instructions to take it to the charity shop afterwards. (It fitted her surprisingly well actually!)
Today I shall be in the shed making tiny parts and doing fiddly things. The sooner these small bits are over the better!

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

I have been for my midday walk and half an hour on traffic duty. Very pleasant out there. I popped in the Co-op for a couple of items and noted one sneaky bit of inflation that had escaped me. My favourite coffee used to be packed 227g per pack. It is now 200g. Mr Sunak evidently hasn't noticed this...

See THIS for more evidence that our kids are going to have a rougher ride than we did. Hundreds of thousands of homeowners have taken ...
