Re: POLITICS CORNER

It was a comment on a radio programme David, I don't know who it was. As I said, it was a whisper and sounded plausible. I haven't heard her make any comment about it. As for who is telling the truth, we never know that do we until corroboration arrives. Something somewhere is holding up completion ...

Benny to Bennie: a winning combination. A player doesn’t have to be bigger and rougher than his opponent, but he must have well-grounded habits of technique. Benny Friedman, in Stars and Stripes, 1951. Most people of my age will remember when American footballers looked much like the rest of the mal...

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER

It's turning out to be a dry sunny day. I have been shopping in the Town Square and got my washing soda. I had a sit on traffic duty. It was just about OK but that wind has a nip to it!

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

That's a pretty clear agenda. I'm aiming for finding some washing soda. Clear ambition! Off back to bed now to get my second sleep in. See you later and have a good day.

I've done my measuring and marking and started cutting the connecting rod out of the piece of bar supplied. A good start with no mistakes and now I can have breakfast!

That's exactly why I like to see it also Cathy. Sometimes when we let the calves out they hurt themselves by doing silly things like running straight into hedges but they soon got better and it didn't stop them being happy.
(And yes, cows can be happy!)

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER

Yesterday afternoon was mainly dry but by 20:00 we had light rain. During the night it cleared and this morning first thing it was calm and we had a clear sky and a good moon low in the NW. The only change since is some odd scattered clouds. The glass is down slightly on 1008mb but steady. The forec...

See THIS BBC report on Diane Abbott's suspension from the Labour Party. One of Labour's most senior MPs has said she would be sad if Diane Abbott's career ends without her being readmitted to the parliamentary party. Ex-deputy Labour leader Harriet Harman told the BBC Ms Abbott was "an amazing ...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Sue.... you've reminded me that my flags need some treatment, both in the back yard and the front they are green. My favourite is to scatter washing soda and let it quietly work its magic. I asked for it in the Co-op the other day and they don't sell it now... (Plenty of expensive wonder cleaners at...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

Whoever did that Peter was a very sick individual. As I understand it, the fear is that if someone gets satisfaction from something like that they tend to move on to even more shocking behaviour. It's a form of attention seeking. All I ask is that they keep away from me! On a more normal note..... W...

I have often heard 'Blegburn' Peter. And round that neck of the woods they tend to say 'hoo' instead of 'he' and it can be very confusing!
I found Rochdale a very individual place when it came to language Sue. Trouble is I can't remember them....

And mine, I agree with Kev a bad ear infection is a miserable condition.
I was disturbed to hear that an acute infection like that didn't get the immediate attention of a proper doctor.....
We are becoming a third world country and seem to be allowing it to happen.

Yup! That's Doctor Green, cows being let out for the first time after a winter indoors. It's even better if it's young stock, You'd be amazed at the speed stirks can get up to. (And some keepers of livestock deny them this, they keep them in on concrete all year round and cut and carry the grass to ...
