See THIS BBC report for evidence that there are people who are puzzled and angry about the defection of Ms Elphicke.... Natalie Elphicke, the new Labour MP for Dover, has been accused of lobbying ministers over her husband Charlie's sexual assault case. Ms Elphicke is accused of asking Sir Robert Bu...

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon was the warmest day yet this year. At 20:00 we had bright overcast but late evening sun was coming in under the overcast from the west. This morning it is calm, dry, mild and overcast, the glass is down on 1015 and the forecast is for a day of bright overcast and sunny spells wit...

The pork belly made a good addition to the veggies! I shall be in the shed at 06:00 and this morning will have to address the subject of drilling steam passages in the cylinder and the standard. It's not an easy process and much of it is guesswork. I shall be glad when it is finished! Apart from tha...

I think you're right David. From what I can make out, you only have to look sideways at someone to get expelled from the contest. Not like that here at Graham Towers. I have seen nothing of the aurora, I'll believe what everyone says about it. Could that be what's making my knee hurt worse this last...

Elkin the writer, not Elkins the historian. I do not do schtick. What I do are organized routines and connected schtick— schtick upon schtick upon schtick until we have a piece of carpentry. Stanley Elkin. Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918) was regarded as a promising poet and Catholic social critic when ...

That was nice! A short walk and a very pleasant sit in the sun on traffic duty. Now I shall have some hot dinner and yes, part of it will be the belly pork I cooked earlier.

It's a nice morning for the market Sue.... I hope you have a pleasant shop.
I have just retrieved the belly pork and committed it to the next stage of the plan, being cut up into bite sized chunks and stewed slowly with diced fried potatoes..... It can do that without any supervision.

Later.... I heard a report that the solar storm we are experiencing is the most powerful for 20 years. Could this be the explanation for our rash of power outages?
