Re: POLITICS CORNER
See THIS BBC reportabout late night sittings..... Rishi Sunak's flagship Rwanda bill is set to become law after five months of Westminster wrangling. It designates Rwanda a safe country and is a key part of the government's plans to send some asylum seekers there. The bill has been fiercely criticis...
Re: GOOD TV
I decided to watch Line of Duty again and started last night. I think it was perhaps the best police drama ever..... Like Gloria I have the advantage that I have forgotten most of the plot so it is all new to me!

Glad to hear they patched you up successfully Pete.... I'll say it again, I am so lucky in these matters. Just the odd brush with cancer and diabetes.... which, as long as I am sensible, don't seem to cause any worries at all.
I wish you the same for the next 30 years Pete....

Same here Sue, a rainy forenoon but not heavy. I am back up after second sleep and have just put a load of washing in. Standards are being maintained! But I'll admit that so far, that's the limit of my housework.....

We've already covered the announcement that Mark Menzies will not be standing again in the General Election. Apart from that there is no other matter claiming our attention in domestic politics. Mar Sunak attempts to give the impression he is in power and controls the administration. I suspect that ...

The triangular section of the ruler ensures that if it is set down on a piece of shafting it automatically adjusts itself to lying parallel with the centre of the shaft. It was used for marking key ways or similar cuts on a shaft. A very clever little tool.

THIS Heads almost all the BBC news this morning. MP Mark Menzies will stand down at the next election and has quit the Conservative Party, after it found he had shown a "pattern of behaviour" falling below the standards for MPs. The Fylde MP had been accused of using party money to pay of...

Amazing what a difference a good dry day makes even if there was no sun!
I shall be in the shed for an hour as usual and apart from that there is nothing on my social calendar!
Looks as though we could have rain for much of the day so I shall leave any decisions about walks until then.

I hope you enjoy it Pete! Last time I was at Crow Wood was when Jim 'Crow' Jackson was farmer and chair of the Milk Marketing Board at the time. If I remember right he was called 'Wry-neck' as well because when he was younger he was bitten in the neck by a sow and carried his head at an angle..... T...

Ian, I am definitely not arguing with you or criticising you. All I can do is report what happens and as David says, the site was miserably slow. I am grateful for what you do for us.
Thanks for that Kev, I have done it but no appreciable difference, still lightning fast.

Morning Cathy. Yes, rain is much more welcome with you than it is here. We have had far too much this winter and many crops haven't been planted, we will suffer for it later in the year.....
I hope you have a nice day and just as much rain as you need and not too much. (I see Sydney got too much.)
