Re: PET'S CORNER
In an earlier post I wondered if an old dog I used to see had passed on.
Nope. It was good to see him this morning, still alert and having a good sniff with his tail well up in the air.
His owner has changed jobs that's why I'd missed him. Nolic

Re: GOOD TV
Watched my Sky + recording of the BBC documentary on child protection social workers in Bristol last night. I usually shy away from programmes about social work as I invariably get very angry at the way their work is portrayed. This was good and very real. The one question left for me was why did it...

Re: 2012 London Olympics
The Olympics should be way down on our national priorities given the poverty, elderly and young at risk of neglect and abuse and increasing unemployment. We up North will see very little of the money generated in London and I think it is a big waste of time and resources. Nolic

Re: READ ANY GOOD BOOKS LATELY?
I'm on the 4th volume of George RR Martin's "Game of Thrones". I have never read a whole series of books one after the other but I just cannot put these down. Magical writing and just enough of what we know of the past to make the historical fantasy almost believable - even the development...
