Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY

Ha ha Kevin, we could use the cat!!! We have a multifuel burner which goes into a tight angle so we cannot get upwards at all really. I keep putting it off but I am sure it does need doing.

It used to join another chimney which was off set in the room behind and then go upwards??? Any ideas would be really welcome as it has to be done,...

Re: Sadness has returned again

Sorry Thomo, it's probably the only sad thing which comes along with having animals. Horses, dogs, cats, whatever, the loss is always the same, it doesn't get any easier. The good thing is feeling is as you do---it shows you cared.

Our first swallow has finally arrived. Last night I watched a large fox sat down our field surveying the scene, when I went for the binoculars it went.

Re: Appeal for international help.

I would have thought there's a bit of a hole in the market for second hand ones.
It's the hole which is the expensive bit, terrible job getting them to hold their shape.

I am struggling with the packing, if I lay them on top of each other they fall through and disappear, I have tried overlapping them but the same thing seems to happen.

Re: Blood Donors

I give blood in Leyland, book a time, in, out, not a problem. Everyone should do it. Unless there is a health reason for not donating, I think everyone should and if not, they should not be given donations if needed. That I have no doubt will have opened a can of worms. They should have a slogan----...

Re: Old fashioned clean jokes

Now I understand ;-) Everyone of you will laugh at this! I said so.....On the first day, God created the dog and said, "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years." The dog said, "That's a ...

Re: Looking for general advice

Found Hollin Top and there is also a Hollin Farm---- put Roughlee into multimap and click on the ordnance survey, they both come up.
Coincidentally we looked at Hollin Top many years ago, we were told it was on an old pack horse route and used as a stop off place.
