Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER

We have a flow in the rainwater collection system from the roof! My 2 IBC tanks (for watering in the polytunnel and emergency supplies) are full and it's now topping up the duck pond and from there down the hill to an old bath for the sheep to drink from. That overflows into a huge old drain which h...

Re: POLITICS CORNER

Don't worry Wendy I suspect Tripps was just being a bit mischievous. Anyone who can morph the Brexit theme from the current head banging nonsense into banjos to custard pies isn't stupid. Stick with us you may develop a taste for it. That is if you can bare the thought of eating custard cream pies....

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Sorry Stanley but I think you said your hba1c result this time was 53. That means you are back into the diabetic range.
Below 42 is considered normal, 42 to 47 pre diabetic and over 47 is in the diabetic range.
There is no such thing as mild diabetes, damage is being done!

That's me! Slack jawed, banjo strumming ignorance....you have described our household perfectly! It's a wonder they allow us to vote.
(I normally steer clear of this topic but just had a little peep this evening. Already regretting it.)

Re: THE FLATLEY DRYER

I remember getting "sun ray" sessions in Leeds back in the 1950's. We all stripped to the waist, put goggles on and bathed in green light. I can't remember if all the school went or if it was just a few of us. My brother had a tb gland on his neck and I was probably considered at risk but I dont kno...

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER

I lost most of the unripe fruit as well as leaves from my currant bushes in the wind. I dont like to complain about dry weather so soon after the wettest winter and spring I can remember, but as you know I get anxious about our water supply.

Library this morning then preparing for tomorrow's high winds! I've only just got the garden table and chairs out on the patio, they will blow away if I don't flatten them again.
