Re: MEDICAL MATTERS

Not me but Sally has been laid low with a throat and ear infection. She got to see the associate guy on Friday who suggested five days of antibiotics to get on top of the infections. Fortunately a real doctor signed the suggestion off shortly after lunch on Friday. Prescription went straight to the ...

OGFB Finances 17th March 2024

Just had an email from IONOS regarding an imminent payment for £81.51 due to be paid shortly. I was intending doing a financial update at the end of the month but I had a quick look at our Paypal account which currently stands at £118.00 and some bits. Enough to cover this payment which is for 3 x o...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Wow! I don't know how you can get to £38 for those bits Stanley unless you are not declaring all.

I filled half a trolley full, including some veg, fruit, tinned stuff, tea, coffee, cereal, other bits and cleaning materials at Aldi yesterday for £22.00.

Re: ENERGY MATTERS

Another cunning plan regarding the energy companies. Since deregulation if your meters are in and outside enclosure that enclosure is now the responsibility of the customer and not the supplier who fitted it when the meters were installed. A nice little pass the buck for future repairs. I know this ...

We have had the Silsden grandchildren overnight. Carla and Ant were at a Rugby event last night. I have nearly finished my cashing up for the banking run tomorrow. We will be taking the kids back home late afternoon via Ghyll and Carleton Churchyards to put some stuff on our mums graves. Pulled pork...

OK on the new to you car Kev. My thoughts regarding the Dyson as well Kev. I have just thrown it back together and have one bit of plastic that should go under the motor, a rubber boot that should go over the motor and a rubber retaining strap that is totally unnecessary as it is fastened in with 4 ...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Found the problem on the Dyson. I removed the head unit and partially stripped it down, took out the beater brushes, made sure the two end bearings were free and not bunged up. On to the motor assembly which is in it's own housing just off centre of the middle of the beater bar. Bad design means tha...

Pendle Forest Ian. I'm told it has Arquiva A and B transponders for Smart meter data using LoRa radio. The tricky bit is coupling it with the meter I believe. Aye, I have never notice an antenna connector on my meters. Where there's a will there's a way. Well done Col. That probably means that our ...

Interesting Wendy, where's he getting the signal from? Can't judge the direction from your photo. I see the six element vertically polarised yagi so I assume it's off one of the local relay masts?
