Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
Getting ready for the Barlick remembrance service this afternoon. Shirt and tie sorted and I have just polished my shoes. Sally will be laying a wreath on behalf of Bosom Friends and I will be laying one of three for the branch Labour Party. As we are a dual branch with Earby now the party a...

When I picked up the remembrance wreaths from the Poppy Shop for Bosom Friends and the Barlick Branch Labour Party Callum said no one had contacted him regarding the Conservative wreath.

Which bit David the relative invisibility or the Morse via Aldis? All I can say is that come the morning when they switched the radar back on the Chinese shadow vessels were all over the place searching for them. They had already slipped out of the contentious bit. Of course it could all be AI I sup...

I watched a documentary last night about the Queen Elizabeth carrier during it's deployment in the China Sea. It was during Covid and showed the crew about their businesses both at work and play. China lays exclusive claim to large portion of the navigable bits of the China Sea which are actually in...

Don't like the result? - call for a change to the electoral system. I would if I could. It's bad enough in this country trying to get a fairer and more diverse political system away from the adversarial, two sword lengths apart model we have now. In the US you only have to look at the difference in...

Republicans have the Senate and the House of Representatives I believe so that means that he has complete unbridled power to do what he wants. He is effectively immune from prosecution as well in spite of the fact that he is a convicted felon on 34 different charges. In a proper and fair democracy h...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
For a bit of diversity in the thread. We had had cheese and tomato loaded scrambled eggs on one of the part baked baguettes that we did in the Air Fryer. Tea today will be home made pizza, we have all the usual wherewithal's for the toppings. I have made enough pizza dough for one each, so meat and ...

Aye, the convicted felon lunatic is in charge again and the world order has just become increasingly dangerous. He promised to end the wars in Ukraine and Gaza within months, we will see how that pans out. I suppose he is stupid enough to withdraw military support from the Ukraine and ramp it up for...

Aye, couldn't quite believe it when she said she was born middle class, (bit of an understatement) but became working class because she did a short stint at McDonalds. :notthatway: :liar: That comment invoked the start of a female version of the Yorkshire Men sketch...... Opening up at Green Street and running the Bosom Friends Coffee Morning as a member of the B team. All members of the A team are either on maternity leave or have a temporary pot leg! Needs must, fruit loaf, crumpets and probably cake on offer along with the brews.

Re: Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread
Not baked any bread for ages and last night we used the last of what we had frozen. Mixed up the dough for these last night before I went to bed, left it to rise overnight and then divided it into four without knocking back to make mini baguettes. Two in each drawer of the Air Fryer for 15-18 mins a...

It applies to us also, I can confirm that we are not in negative equity although the simple view shows it as such. No way do we have an 80K overdraft.

Is there any way for potential donors to the RNLI to see any part of these accounts, before donating? You don't get full accounts but the Charity Commission list how registered charities spend their money. The figures are based year on year from the annual returns that they are obliged to make. Her...

Did you see the footage of the Mercedes electric car spontaneously bursting into flames on the owners drive while parked overnight. It wasn't even charging, took part of the house frontage and garage doors with it. Even the higher end marques seem to be dodgy. A few years ago I had a run in with a &...

Charity accounts have to be sent for scrutiny to the Charity Commission each year. We are a truly voluntary organisation by way of no one involved with the group, trustees or volunteers are in paid positions. We cover out of pocket expenses such as petrol if running people to hospital or buying refr...

Re: BE Bosom Friends Information and Fund Raising Events
Thanks for the comment Stanley. It's worth mentioning that under Charity Commission rules we are obliged to spend money that we have raised, we can't sit on it indefinitely, some folk don't seem to realise this. We do this of course by supporting local folk who have cancer either by emotional or fin...

I can't understand why anyone in their right mind could see Donald Trump as fit for office. End of story, I simply don't understand. Nether can I.
