What can I say, these server logs don't support your experience. They cover the period in question 19th to 20th. First is the server CPU and the second is RAM usage. No drop outs recorded, a fairly constant state on both.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
I have said this before. Your morning Stanley is not the same as most other folks. You tend to be on the site during what is normally regarded as maintenance time by hosting providers. Without keeping the same hours as you I can't be certain but the logs don't support your experience of the site. It...

Re: COMPUTERS, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY
It's working fine for me, could potentially have been the Ionos upgrade impacting Stanley. I've not been in and had a look to see if it's been done. I have not had any notification from IONOS and they did say they would give notice before the migration. The server will have to be shut down complete...

I have seen the Physicians Associate twice at our surgery. OK but they can't prescribe anything only suggest. Not heard of Community Matron though, any relation to the old District Nurses perhaps?

Re: WW2 service records
I got the "Z" reserve wrong. He was eligible for recall until age 45 which on demob in April 1946 would be until 1963. He was actually discharged from reserve liability on the 30th June 1959 when he had just turned 41 years of age. I suppose he could have ended up in Korea or various other...

Re: BE Bosom Friends Information and Fund Raising Events
At our trustees meeting last night we had an hour with our architect that is handling our new property, shop and community centre conversion for us. We have had the property now for 12 months with no progress and we found out why last night. We had the plans in the late summer last year and they wen...

Good idea to have a fall back. Thanks Wendy. We could also hang out here when IONOS shifts the server instance.

Re: COMPUTERS, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY
The Server CPU is 100% saturated which is why its busted. I had 6 hours chasing yesterday and tried a lot of solutions to no avail. Will have another go today. Users should be aware that the site will be subject to outages not related to the current issue. This could be anytime from tomorrow and ove...

Spoke too soon, ramped up again. We are being plagued by a Spam server that is resistive to firewall rules.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
Today I have mainly been spending the morning travelling to Skipton to get some new trainers. No mean feat today, the normally 25 minute bus journey took 1 hour and 5 minutes! Traffic was backed up to the Elslack road end roundabout onto the A59. Traffic lights when we got there were three way at th...

Re: WW2 service records
It has just taken about 16 months but a bit of good news for today. I had an email from the National Archives with a link to download my dads service records. 37 pages in total, some repeated information and interesting reading. I have lots of dates that I can apply to his six and bit years service ...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
Medical stuff started for me at 4.30am this morning. Not me but the realisation that Sally had fallen down the stairs shortly after getting up to go to the loo! I heard the crash and a roaring noise which turned out to be the Shark vaccuum cleaner that she had landed on at the bottom of the stairs w...
