Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
Adverts :surprised: I agree about the paths Stanley, I don't hink that the salt bin on Butts is currently filled. Last year when I lived there I used the salt out of the Clinic to make sure my neighbours could get out and about. I was shocked by the co-op actually. They dug out the back so that thei...

Blair is back in advisory role to the Labour Party according to the FT to seize the centre ground, so with Mandy stopping by too, and Prescott attempting to run a police force it looks like even they are losing faith in wierd Ed

Pluggy, I asked about PV's and Conservation areas at the January Craven Area Committee and was given a "maybe". You'll find it in the minutes. I would also get the person who is doing your planning application to take a look at the example of Every Street (Nelson) set out in the Council's ...

So you'll both be opting out and going private? I don't have a choice But why shouldn't I be able to say that I do not believe that the NHS is delivering value for money? If I received the same sort of engagement at any other establishment I would be able to complain, but because it is the NHS it s...

Re: CLIMATE CHANGE AND GLOBAL WARMING
That doesn't quite explain why North Africa is currently so cold.
Probably far more likely that the upper atmosphere is currently disturbed and the sequencing of the high winds has moved the weather around the globe, much like it did last year for the 'cold spell'

It isn't free, it never has been. One of the greatest 'untruths' ever told. Otherwise the NHS would be one huge 'Big Society' project full of volunteers. That is why we have National Insurance. The greatest social invention was the introduction of this tax that meant that everyone could afford to be...

Isn't Andy Burnham one of those who until recently delivered what we call the NHS? All that PFI money (the reason Burnley is being downsized), the involvement of the private sector, the massive increases in salary (far greater than the private sector), the tick box culture, targets that had no relat...

Re: Superstore developments
There may be a twist:
If Asda do submit a bid to build, then it could become a run off between the two developments with 'no store' being removed as an option.

At the West Craven Area meeting, Neil watson said that there should be no flicker effect as it was more than twice the recommended distance from the properties and not within an arc (which I didn't fully comprehend). Maybe there is a wikipedia entry
