Most fabric has a certain shrinkage rate...and it is vital to know that once you make up a garment, it will retain it’s fit, and you have not wasted your time and effort. I have always found it standard practice, unless you are working with d...

Have you tried fried green tomatoes with bacon and egg Sue? I like them, a nice sharp taste. I don’t like fried tomatoes, its about the only way I won’t eat them. I don’t like the skins particularly, or the core I always cut the latter off when I cut tomatoes for anything. It brings to mind my Dads...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

I heard a lot of complaints on R4 yesterday from people who can't get tests even though they qualify. The problem might be the fact that academics who were volunteering/moonlighting have now gone back to teaching so they are short-staffed. The problem is also they can’t process them any faster, the...

Our flu vaccinations are this Thursday afternoon . I think a lot of people think a bad cold is flu. Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Morning Busy morning yesterday. After the market we cleaned the house between us and I did my weekly boil wash. In the afternoon we opted for a short stroll (2.4km a cording to the notice) around the reservoir at Dunnockshaw ( Burnley). It was quiet, not many people around. There was a stiff breeze ...
