Re: Minor glitches
Am having trouble making any sense out of the arcade, though there is an index down the side when I click on any of the catagories I just get the same lis coming up, games have nothing to do with the catagory I clicked on and the only way I can play anything I remotely like is if someone else has pl...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
Just before you all launch back in to the daily politics show, I will tell you what caught my attention today, I inadvertantly clicked a link which took me back to the old site, and the nostalgia was palpable.

Re: DIALECT AND WORD MEANINGS
The Hoo is interesting in the poem above as it doesn't seem to be used to consistantly, there is a 'her' in the middle of the line..some sort of grammar rule about Her opening a sentence or bing in place of She? They still say Hoo for her in Catherine Cookson films...very North East!

Re: Minor glitches
Love your choice of smiley Gloria, you look like you sang the last line! Few minor glitches to report here..soo sorry Doc... more like user error really. 1) when clicking on the smileys above the reply box, is it possible to be able to just unclick them...took me ages to spot the word None at the be...

Re: Looking for general advice
I have a tree on Genes reunited, it is the most basic one they do so costs only £9 a year, but like Gloria i have found that it is best to keep it closed so that people have to contact you if they want to know anything. I also have a tree on Ancestry and because I pay more than I do for the genes on...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
I don't dislike the wlaking man, though i do find him distracting, my biggest problem is that he is out of keeping (and scale) with his background and the photo's are so lovely and say so much more about Barlick. I think a moving logo would be distracting too...perhpas we could make each picture a &...

I have visited Wallace Hartley's grave in Colne, here is a link to a picture of it: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cg ... emPhotos=Y& The grave yard was on a hillside on the edge of the town, in case there is more than one.

Doc, nice to see you are managing to retain a sense of humour in the face of all us clamouring bairns! One thing I need an explanation of is the "thanks" page, you have been thanked many time over but your "thanks indicator" says 0...not sure what it's all about!?

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
Ha ha, Meg was a train by the time I looked! On topic, I am begining to be a bit suspicious about "news" and who is reporting it.(Not you two, Bradders and Stanley) nationally I mean. It struck me the other day that if I were a terrorist organisation attempting world dominance then I would...

Re: Minor glitches

Like you Stanley, what attracted me is that OG is back online..and like you I am pottering around trying to make sense of it all, I do hope the adage "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" isn't true or I am going to lose a lot of friends..or myself!
