Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Felt very wobbly about 3 hours after tea. Blood sugar low, so had to eat a muesli bar before bed.
Don’t know what is going on, but blood sugar has been low a few times lately.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

I bet you brushed enough off Jack to knit him a pup.
My son brushes his Labrador once a week, and can knit a pup with the mound of hair he gets off. The dog feels so much better afterwards too.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

It’s going to take hours to digest that lot!
What is the fascination with the ladies rest room? Do you fancy the wallpaper?

Hopefully I shall be progressing with the gardening today. Visitors expected this morning and rain expected this afternoon, but somewhere in between I hope to garden...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

I did quite a bit of gardening today...mostly trimming bushes back that line the path to our front door. All trim and tidy now. I could have done more, but after sweeping the path down, I could really feel it so I called it a day. I have headed for a ten minute lay on the bed to relax my back ( I fi...

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS

The ventilation turrets on the roof suggest a warm climate.
I shall say India...building doesn’t appear to be fenced or guarded, therefore I would say a public building.
Library or Council Offices?

Drat and Double Drat. The plumber can’t get here until next Tuesday, as he is “on Kangaroo Island, helping family out after the bushfires”.
( now...they would be folk living in a bigger mess than I am at present...so I forgive him)

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY

My tip of the day is “have a really good clear out of your kitchen cupboards” regularly.
You will be amazed how good it feels afterwards!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Dishwasher in. Cabinet makers are finished. Just waiting for the plumber...past experience with the plumber tells me he will likely come very late afternoon/tea time. I have had to clear out the lower two shelves of the walk-in pantry as he needs to get to the pipes in the exterior pantry wall. The ...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS

I suffered gut problems with statins and stopped taking them...couldn’t even handle the lowest dose. I have a new GP since then and have had enough problems with the herniated disc/operation/recovery. He mentioned that on a recent blood test I had slightly elevated cholesterol. My reply was I was no...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Once this dishwasher is installed ( and plumbing completed) our kitchen is finally remodelled. Yes, cabinet makers are expensive, but they do such a good job, and it is worth the investment. The job ours did to cut existing bench tops and cupboards down to house a new( wider) stove/oven/range hood/g...

Chicken Tikka Curry tonight. Might even have a couple of Chips with it...we have worked hard physically today as well as our walk and a bike ride this morning too. Had to relocate the fridge this morning and empty a couple of cupboards, as the cabinet maker comes tomorrow to fit the dishwasher. (So ...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

I had a full on “hypo” today...not pleasant! I had eaten breakfast and it started coming on about 11am. We were out at the country markets, and the only food on offer there ( pies/pasties/sausage rolls ALL CONTAINED GARLIC.) ( I couldn’t believe my luck! Or lack of it!) Anyway, we made it the 20 min...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

It is a “voice over” deal with Disney. Already signed, I believe. The money she would have been paid will supposedly go to a charity for Elephants. That, in my mind, does not cancel out all the plastic rubbish being generated as souvenirs and memorabilia for the movie, which is usually generated thr...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

I am just sat here thinking beyond and beyond. Surely the film makers won’t allow all the usual plastic rubbish/dolls/badges/stickers that they call souvenirs for the Princess movie...given the couple are so environmentally aware and passionate about the earth? Which means a loss of revenue. This pl...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

I love Cabbage and Carrots cooked long and low with minimum water and a slice of pure butter ( and a bit of salt and pepper) ..absolute heaven, and it is the only way I can get cabbage into my husband. Of course, he loves it next to the mash and sausages, slathered in slow cooked onion gravy. ( I di...
