Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Morning Well our two days of nice weather is now reduced to one and a bit. Instead of cold rain we will have warm rain until some arbitrary time in the afternoon. A little weather flash as I am writing has just said the rain will continue for several hours. The forecast last night implied afternoon....

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

Science takes time, give them time. I am the eternal optimist. With genetics, even the procedures and techniques for the research have had to be and still are being researched and developed. Its not that long since genomes were identified, then each gene has to be analysed to see what it does exactl...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Morning Well yesterday turned out drier than expected but so cold and really windy. Frequent heavy showers made it difficult to dry the washing so it was the drier again. I did my trip to the RANGE and bought the art stuff I needed. It all went very successfully. I was impressed that all the staff w...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

I put a lot of weight on when I had a slipped disc, inactivity after a normal active life and the medication. About 8.5 Kg in 9 months. This year with all the gardening, walking and daily pilates etc I have lost nearly 5 kg. My weight is the same as when I was 30, though there is lot more flab aroun...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Morning Rain all day yesterday then a sunny evening, too late to take advantage of. Today it is cold, 11-13 degrees maximum with more rain forecast. What a summer ! Yesterday I sewed all day and made two bright and cheerful tops. It was far too wet to venture out after pilates so I consulted the web...

I get the impression that posting on tablets is a cause of many problems because I don't have them on the desktop but it's only a guess. Morning all Yesterday turned out better than expected, after a few heavy showers in the morning, it dried up. Not exactly a sunny day but warm and fairly dry. So much so that we did get a 4.5 mile walk in the afternoon, after we cleaned the house in the morning. Some of the footpaths were very wet a...

My tree is not on Ancestry, so no-one will find the extent of my research. I made a complaint, but it was not dea...
