Re: CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

Just thinking back to the rhymes we used to say or sing when we were wee. Some were hysterically funny, some just plain and simple and some on the border line which, if we said or sang them today, would land us in trouble with the Politically Correct Police and maybe law suits. Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Last night: The choice of either Australian beef and Merlot with vegetables in puff pastry, or parmesan crusted chicken breast with a tomato, cheese and smoked ham filling. Both with spinach and ricotta potato gratin.

Tonight: Macaroni and cheese.

Re: Just saying hi

I took that as a suggestion to a newcomer that the recipe would be more relevant to the "tea" topic, not that it was off topic where it was. :extrawink: I thought the same but it takes a while to get used to the norms of the site.... Thanks for that. I obviously took it the wrong way but ...

Why is it that good people are always the ones who get screwed over? The other day I gave my seat to an old lady on the bus and then I got fired from my job as a bus driver.

Re: GOOD TV

I can’t comment on British TV but here in Melbourne, Australia, when I arrived in November 1965 there was four channels, ABV2, HSV7, GTV9, and ATV0. In January 1980, ATV0 became ATV10. In October 1980, a new channel SBS0/28 began broadcasting. By January 1986, SBS0/28 became SBS28. By January 2005, ...

Re: CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

Remember when there was only 1 film showing each week at the local picture theatre? Depending of course on what the film was, the Rio ...

They are all set in Scotland and they're good on social history background. The one titled `Bury Her Deep' has a background of chil...
