Re: OUR WONDERFUL SITE

I have read all your comments and agree with you all that it's far from satisfactory, I will remove all news hound postings from the active, recent, unread lists etc, this should clear the way for actual postings by members. Also I propose to create a default listing based on "Unread Postings&q...

Re: Minor glitches

Tizer: After trawling through the old archive I have found that the snapshot that was taken did not "drill down" into the old site as deep as I expected, for example a topic with say a total 14 pages of postings, is only displaying around 8 pages worth. The snapshot that we are actually us...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

Whet caught my attention today was when I visited the Rainhall Centre in Barnoldswick this afternoon where a Jobs Fair was being held with a promise of more than 20 local companies in attendance. Companies set to return to the Rainhall Centre for this fair include Rolls-Royce, Hoseasons, Lonsdales, ...

Re: PET'S CORNER

I just stumbled across this old video taken by Gus and his Grand Kids whilst out on a walk, it shows my old pet piggy Lulubelle who use to have the run of the place. She use to come and bang on the kitchen door when it was feeding time. Her favourite treats were Smart Priced Custard Creams (a packet...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

We had some neck-end of lamb in the freezer so I made a lamb stew & dumplings, just about to tuck into now.

I forgot, I always eat it all except the dumplings which I save till last then I pour a bit of syrup on them. Mmmmm... you should try it.

Searching the Archive

By now I would have expected the search engines to have indexed the old ogfb archive but todate there doesn't seem to be any activity by the bots in this section. Over the next couple of days I will attempt to get a usable search facility up and running, submitting the url to the search engines manu...

Re: We all Love A Moan, What Annoyed You Today...

Don't want to nitpick, but do you mean a Pelican crossing? Zebra crossings don't have lights and a pedestrian only has too put a toe on it for it to be the law that all traffic stops. By how much were you delayed? 30 seconds? Terrible - absolutely terrible ... All pedestrians should be shot. Hangin...

Re: I lost your Avatar - Sorry

Phew... eventually (4 hours) sussed it out, there was a semi-colon ";" missing in a path statement.

But you all have your avatars back which is a major bonus for me, it turned out we didn't lose them, the software just ignored where to go look for them because of the above error.
