Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
Someone mentioned earlier that they couldn't find any data on the NHS consultants database on my specialist Ian Anderson. I couldn't either he's listed but with data listed as N/A. I have logged a support ticket on this to see if it's a glitch in the system. I got an email response to say that my ti...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
Well, I was wrong, I rang Airedale regarding the 3 day ECG and they don't want to cancel my appointment yet. They said I should keep the slot until after my pre-op on Wednesday and cancel then if no longer required. Belt and braces approach I think. On another matter I managed to get an appo...

Re: ILP Clarion House
ILP Land Society AGM today, well attended I think partly due to the change of time to 4pm rather than 10am as it used to be. The earlier starting time always used to see the meeting running into Clarion visitors arriving, we have nothing to hide but it did used to be a distraction. Much better at th...

Re: BE Bosom Friends Centre - 2, Green Street
Thanks Tiz, only possible with the continued support of the community. Lots still to do but making the main room upstairs accessible with it's own facilities will make it a lot more versatile. It will led itself to larger groups for meetings, family gatherings, parties, etc. We are putting full faci...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
I received another letter today from Airedale's Cardio Respiratory Department, an appointment for a 3 Day ECG portable monitor to be fitted, next Friday 14th. I think events have already overtaken this as this was ordered up by Dr Zain who I saw initially in the stroke unit, this was the second part...

Indeed I will Tripps, he's a prolific snapper isn't he, just short of 55,000 photo's on flickr!
It's our trustees meeting next week although I may see him before, Ill tell him he's mentioned in dispatches.

Re: POLITICS CORNER
Ian, I wasn't referring to situations like the Iraq War but to the fact that we hear little or nothing from Corbyn on TV, radio or in the papers, whereas Blair gets out there and communicates. If Corbyn were to offer interviews, articles, quotes etc to the journalists they would jump at the opportu...

Re: POLITICS CORNER
But, for all that, if I had to choose between Blair and Corbyn now I would choose Blair. At least he communicates with the people in general, Corbyn only wants to talk to his own. Your first sentence I cant quite believe from an intelligent bloke like yourself Tiz, he certainly didn't communicate a...

Re: BE Bosom Friends Centre - 2, Green Street
I believe we had the majority of our new upstairs kitchen delivered yesterday. I will pop round today to see how it's progressing. I was wrong about the kitchen unit delivery, misheard Gus and it was the day he ordered it. No matter it will come when it comes. Construction not quite ready f...

Re: POLITICS CORNER
I share your unease Ian. I don't see a smoking gun, I can think of at least one other scenario that would fit and I'll bet the government can as well but it involves the close association of UK PLC with Russian kleptocrats. If that puzzles you, have a look at 'Beware the Banks are out to get you'. ...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
We have close friends who were in a similar situation a couple of months ago but their appointment was in the morning around 9.30am. They went the day before and booked into Premier Inn or similar for B&B. It would be manic driving in at that time in the morning.

Re: POLITICS CORNER
I heard a comment on the radio this morning from a legal expert who said that what has been presented is not actual evidence but a statement from the PM. It's all fine and dandy Theresa May pointing the finger directly at Putin but that in itself can only be construed as supposition and would not st...

Re: BE Bosom Friends Centre - 2, Green Street
It works very well Stanley. We have very few overheads apart from the shop rental and the utilities for the centre. All trustees and volunteers are just that, volunteers, no one gets paid so it maximises the amount that we can redistribute into the community or grant to other groups. Under Charity C...

I weighed in my prescription I got from Mr Anderson yesterday. Just so that I have the meds in hand for whenever I need them. There were two items on the prescription but I only need one of them. Our shop on town is still the biggest source for the group. We try to source external funding for capital projects and use the shop revenue for direct support back to those who are going through treatment.

The addition is not a rider just a statement, there is nothing in it that binds members to an extra rule. Can't please some sections of the Jewish community. Do as you are asked, ratify the full text of the definition and Corbyn is still wrong for making a statement. One Jewish person actually calle...

Re: BE Bosom Friends Centre - 2, Green Street
One of our trustees is expert in finding funding sources. We have a few applications in at the moment. Trustees meeting next week and we will see where we are at. A lot of funders like to see a specific project either planned or in progress. That was the basis of our M&S labour in the community ...

Add also that at the time of the second ballot, the NEC at the time introduced an illegal item to the end of a fixed agenda that effectively disenfranchised thousands of fully paid up members from the ballot. Didn't make any difference but it was still wrong and should have resulted in some dismissa...
