It was Jasmin who won the Pennine Way Spine Race a few years back, breast feeding her baby at the checkpoints!

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

That sounds like fun Sue! When my brother and sister in law lived in York I bought them this book about the Snickleways of York. I don't know if they ever used it, but I would love to! https://www.waterstones.com/book/a-walk-around-the-snickelways-of-york/mark-w-jones/mark-w-jones/9781871125771 Wel...

Tizer wrote: 11 Mar 2024, 16:46 I'm surprised that Ancestry don't offer the 1921 census but apparently Find My Past does have it. I wonder why the difference?
It's because the National Archives chose Findmypast to digitise and publish it. 3 years work!

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

I had chicken pox when I was in my teens, it was very unpleasant. I always associate it with the Beatles Help! LP and a sunny week in the caravan on the East Coast recovering.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

After lunch I will be heading out onto Skipton Old Road, wearing a lot of warm clothing topped by a fluorescent vest, to pick up bags full of litter from the verges. It is Lothersdale's litter picking day but I like to join in as part of the road is within that parish.

Two large off road type electric bikes travelling at 25 to 30mph along the canal towpath between Salterforth and Foulridge yesterday morning. Sounding horns to make walkers get out of there way and not slowing down at all. Later in the day, coming through Colne centre at 5.30pm there was a kids moto...
