I have some painted wooded Iris. Had them over 20 years. I’ve never painted them...(it’s a big enough job just dusting them)

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
Just as an example, I can’t imagine any more than a nod if I told my husband “ I had a PAP smear today” or “I had a Mammogram today”. It is just one of those things....isn’t it? Then you are unlucky No, actually, I am very lucky. My first husband was a full on, turbo powered hypochondriac, ( and st...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
Ok...must be an Australian thing...we are a bit laid back, I admit. We don’t tend to worry much...I suppose... Possibly this is a difference between us, but we tend to live on a positive note here ( like...if you don’t die from it, you will live) ( have had two husbands and can’t imagine either one ...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
I apologise profusely if I gave that impression, Big Kev. ( with the greatest of honesty...Sorry ( I meant it as a general comment between the investigations women go through in their life as opposed to men) No love...I meant no personal offence and I am sorry if you felt it. I wish you the best of ...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
Used to do prostate biopsies, 20 a week at least. Sorry if I am not that precious about them. To me, they were terribly “everyday”. I meant no offence. ( I think folk put a mystery around them that is unwarranted). What did I say that was so offensive, Wendy? I need to know...I don’t want to re-offe...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
I accept your comment Wendy as I know you are doing it tough. But...if we live with anger in our hearts, we know it does no good at all to those around us, especially when we raise stress among those we love before a diagnosis. We chose to not tell our kids etc until my husband was sure of a diagnos...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
I always find it amazing how much men worry about their “bits”🤣 They don’t always worry about their wive’s “bits” in the same way. Are they even aware how much we are probed and prodded over the years? Not to mention pregnancy and giving birth, changing shape entirely and nourishing another being et...

I am sure they are coming for you, Sue. Won’t be long and you will have those Summer tops on.
won’t be long until we will put the gas heater on in the evenings.
Another fortnight at least for both of us.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
At one point, passing back under a road bridge on the way home, we could hear sounds of an argument. It was on a bend, we could see one child, aged 5 or 6 years, on a little bike. We slowed down to walking pace, not knowing what was ahead, as an adult male was screaming at the top of his voice. Turn...

We had grey skies, early showers and coastal mizzle ( though it was pleasantly warm)...so it kept a lot of tourists off the dedicated bike and walk way, that stretches all the way up the coast in both directions ( up hill and down dale.) we had a couple of stretches on the road to get there, had to ...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
Son challenged me to a 22 km bike ride without using my electric battery power today. Bit of a challenge, but I took him up on it. ( hubby refused to come). So, I accepted the challenge! ( 42 year old son and 61 year old Mum) We made it and both had grins from ear to ear when we got home. It was a f...

Of course.
But I take it you are talking about physical symptoms? Despite two episodes of bladder cancer, hubby has never had prostate symptoms.
Different beasts, as they say.

A shower is no good for me after my ruptured disc. I need the deep heat of a morning bath to make my day normal. I spring out of my bath like a 5 year old.

Oooo...small bathroom compared with ours...( I think our downstairs one would be 4m x 3 m) :biggrin2: With a beautiful free standing egg bath, that I soak in every morning...my bit of luxury...all I need in life is a lovely bath. I ask for nothing more. Hubby tells me it is 4.2 by 3.6m Who cares?
