Re: GOOD TV

The whole of the programme was poorly set up especially the map that had Pendle located very near Manchester. I had recorded the previous programmes but the decided to delete them. Nolic

Re: FORGOTTEN CORNERS

My mum worked at t'Stew Mill throughout the war and in to the 1950's often having to walk from Barlick via the canal to get to work. She once took me up to see the water wheel and I remember it as quite massive and very frightening for a youngster. The wheel was removed to Quarry Bank museum when it...

Great news Comrade. I've been a bit taken up with Cath's health over the past few days. She saw the GP a couple of weeks ago about an incessant headache and back pain. Over a week and whilst the back pain was easing the headache was getting worse. On Thursday she got our local pharmacist to check he...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

Returning from a nice break in Durham via Blubberhouses yesterday set me to thinking what Mrs Trellis and her two erstwhile jesters might be up to this year. Rumour locally is that Boris O'Storiths is elsewhere in the country plotting. Missing his mentor Beamsly Bob hit the bottle and was found mess...

Re: FORGOTTEN CORNERS

Greenfield Reservoir is not the most idyllic of locations Ian but hit it at the right time and in the right place and you could really bag up. Towards the end of one season in the early 1980's a mate and myself were fishing the canal bank side and bagged up on dustbin lid bream. By mid afternoon we ...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS

After only 2 weeks on Dulaglutide weekly injections my sugar levels have dropped 3 points on the mmol/L scale. My appetite is much reduced so I'm eating less and loosing weight and I feel better that I have done for a couple of years. Hopefully if this continues I can come off the dreaded metformin....
