Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS

I learnt about the aqueduct when I was researching someone's family history. I first picked up her gt grandfather in the 1891 census living near Grasmere, obviously in some sort camp with a number of men described as 'navvies working on waterworks'. Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

All clear thanks Sue, we just got back 10 minutes ago. There were blizzard conditions here for a while and about an inch of slush on the roads when I set off back to Bradford. By Lothersdale it was sleet and torrential rain by the time I got to Crosshills. Its stopped now.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Good to hear that Bob has no side effects from the treatment Sue. I have just got back from delivering Colin to Bradford Royal Infirmary where he is getting an endoscopy to check that all is well and to have a stretch of the scar tissue where they joined him back together. He gets very worried about...

I've visited Fiddling Clough a couple of times over the years and am still fascinated at the history behind it.

Just trainers but I can't help doing a double bow, it's second nature. If it was my boots, you might spot a triple twist before I lace up the cuff then back down a bit before the double knot. 😀

Re: FORGOTTEN CORNERS

We get the Daily Mail every Saturday, for the television guide and the puzzles, we briefly skim through the paper itself, there’s lots of stuff which we aren’t bothered with reading. I know we can get everything online, but it’s like reading a book, I like to hold it and turn pages. 🫣 Same here Glo...

Re: OBITUARIES

Ken came upstairs in Colne Library to say hello to me. I remember him telling me that he was occasionally mistaken for Paul McCartney because of his floppy hair. He was making a collection of photographs of plaques on buildings in the area......hence the name Plaques.
