Another tip I may have mentioned before is to put corks under the mattress to avoid leg cramps at night.

Pork steaks marinated in garlic, olive oil & balsamic vinegar, roast tomatoes, garden peas & roast potatoes last night.

We had a flash of lightning & one rumble of thunder about 8pm last night - much cooler & fresher today, I can cope with this - that heat put me out.

Just had a shower here - it is very humid.

Ham salad - too hot for hot meals.

Much of the trouble is the mind thinks you are younger than you are but the body lets you down.

Cleaning up after having a new bedroom window fitted with a small opener so it can be left open at night, our old one had large full length openers.

Last time I heard a cuckoo was at Slimbridge in Gloucestershire quite a lot of years ago - used to hear them every summer when growing up in Kelbrook.

We had chicken pie, new potatoes & garden peas.

I would love to hear it again, so many good memories of growing up in Kelbrook.

We had slow cooked brisket, yorkies, new & roast potatoes, leeks in a cheese sauce & gravy.

We watched Poldark at 9pm and then The Loch on catch-up at 10pm.
We put our heating on for a while on Friday evening and I think we may do the same tonight - hot on Wednesday - I wish it would settle.

We had a lamb curry with rice & naans.

Had braised steak, new potatoes & brocolli last night.

Chicken breast in a Cajun sauce, new potatoes & asparagus last night.

Passed again today and realised the no. 1 is out so therefore it must have been 12 degrees (felt like 2!). Bad forecast for tomorrow - it is TT week in the Isle of Man so bad weather is the norm.
