Re: Miscellaneous DIY Projects (or bits of jobs)
Re. builders. Text from John, they want a dry day to go on the roof, chase the leak and fit my cowl. Just a question of being patient. The damp patch in the front room has dried up a bit since I took the big picture down off that section of wall. The damp wasn't doing the picture any good. Have they...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
I have just managed to get this page up to reply after 15 minutes at least delay. This included 502 bad gateway and asking for my password. Deep Joy. I shall do my best but I forecast posts will be thin on the ground this morning.... Later at 03:40. Back to normal speed..... That didn't last long a...

The chaos caused by a diesel spill on the M65 from Nelson to halfway up Vivary Way in Colne. We were in Boundary Mill and came out at 6pm to drive home, the traffic was very light through the centre of Colne as it was all backed up beyond Burnley.

I cooked a Bolognese based pasta bake for visiting southern friends yesterday, it went down well. Tonight we're off to The Barlick Raj, for the Sunday buffet, with 'local' friends this time.

Re: COMPUTERS, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY
Just a thought, I don't have access to my desktop machine to look, is there a proxy server between the server the site is hosted on and the big wild world? If there is, and Ionos were carrying out maintenance on that, it may be what Tripps and Stanley were impacted by while the rest of us daylight d...

Re: COMPUTERS, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY
It's working fine for me, could potentially have been the Ionos upgrade impacting Stanley. I've not been in and had a look to see if it's been done.

Re: Miscellaneous DIY Projects (or bits of jobs)
I'm sure it would have the same affects for me but after spending £1,000 on the new set I can't justify any more expense and it really is adequate. I certainly wouldn't have bought a new surround system, it came up at the right price and I sold the old one a couple of days later and recouped half t...

P&O Cruises opened up the booking, for 'speciality' dining, on my upcoming cruise (not long to go now), it crashed their website. Social media was full of commentary about it. I logged on this morning and booked tables at Sindhu, the 'Indian' restaurant on board and The Beach House, a Mexican/Ca...
