Re: Wildlife Corner

Oh Oh it’s one of those Butcher Birds, quick quick quick, where’s my phone? Oh , far out, it’s in the lounge. Quick!’ I had to slowly edge around the room so hopef...

Re: Wildlife Corner
A lovely surprise
I’m sure this beautiful visitor to my garden today is a Pied Butcher Bird.
They come in Grey/Black and White as well, very pretty.
I was so lucky to get the pic, it was only there for less than a minute.

Re: Old fashioned clean jokesu
A Life Alert Button is personal medical alert. They are sometimes worn as watches, but for the elderly they are normally pendants.
Some alert family first, if no answer an Ambulance is automatically called. You probably have them under a different name.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
We have quite a few , but because it appears to be black, I will guess at Red Bellied Black Snake.
If it is brown, I would say a Western Brown.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
This has my ‘radar’ up. I can’t ever remember reading that human footprints , 3 times normal size, have ever been found.
And the sphere is not 10 feet across… look at the leaves (grass ?) in the background.
.
Can’t wait for Tizer to reply.

Yes I remember the school milk.
Would be hard today, with so many kids having intolerances and allergies.

Where do they all come from?

If I see a Magpie in my garden, it’s like “Whoa , give it some space.” They look like sergeant majors strutting around , doing an inspection. I think we have had this before.
From what I can gather, the Butcherbird (Magpie Lark) is smaller than the Magpie.

Eadie Barlow was the Midwife for 4 out of 6 of us kids.
I am told that our Mother spoke very highly of her.
Be nice to see something in her name.
