Eileen, do what I did and commission a piece. It will be a good investment! (And something you can look at for a long time and not tire of it!) Onward and upward Conor! You'll be all right in the end, no doubt at all about that!

Hi
I thought I'd pop in and catch up for Conor, he's at the London school of arts in London and is really enjoying it. Though hard for him being in such a busy place after living out in the sticks. I know you have all been supportive of Conor and I can only thank you all as a parent, it means alot to me. So thank you

Anyway he is sculpting and making animatronics and is also oil painting. He has just finished this, not the best pic of it but the only one I can use as my laptop is broken.Image

Conor is currently doing some art work (portraits) for the Royal Albert Hall in London. (Private work not to do with uni) and has a few other exciting things going on in the background. So Stanley looks like your pencil drawing you commissioned may well have gone up in price *smiles

The photo is not showing but I hope it will once I've posted... Hope your all well x

Lovely surprise! I was only thinking the other day about Conor and mailing you to find out what he was doing. So good to hear he is doing well but then we all knew he was a bloody genius! Needless to say the Knicker prints are still on the wall and it was the one above the mirror I use for shaving that triggered me the other day. But never mind Conor, how are you?
Tell the Wandering Boy he is not forgotten and a lot of ladies on the site would be glad to hear from him.....

Oh Wow, yes, good to hear everything is going well for you in the art-world, Conor. Remember that there are other worlds too, haha eg: here on OG.
All the best

I told him yesterday I'd been on here for him. He said he was only thinking about that the other day. So it's funny how we seem to think of things round the same time.
He had a day off yesterday as he's been working hard (till 1 in the morning) to finish the Royal Albert hall job as it was 14 portraits. Plus he needed a posh suit to wear to the night event at Albert Hall where his drawings are bring used.Think he's sick of pencil drawing this week haha
He said yesterday he's going to start another oil today...

Did the attachment of his oil painting of his brother not show?

Ohhhh you might like to see these I have on my phone. Conor asked his brother to look at him while he took a photo. Brothers being brothers he screwed up his lip in a curl looking over his shoulder so Conor wouldn't want to paint it.... Haha how wrong was he. 5 hours later Conor came down stairs with this.. I loved it as it looks like a very old style painting.

And the added hat. I did wonder at this point what was he doing

And then he wanders down just a few hours later with this. It reminds me of an old masters painting

Much better! I like that. Your mention of the suit reminded me of Thoreau in 'Walden'; "I say, beware of all enterprises that require new clothes."

It's a while since I checked up on the boy, but he's still doing amazing things.
His Van Gogh sculpture is just wonderful. Conor Farr (aka conty)
I see that Nolic is still keeping an eye on him too. Stanley - your early picture is still on the site from 5 years ago. Your 'frillies' prints will be valuable one day I think.

And the nice thing is that we were a small part of his start on the road to success. You're right Moh, a nice lad and a nice mother as well! (Could the two be related?)
