Its all there, I can access it via FTP, its the link between the main forum and the separate archive site thats broken. The archive bears no relation to the original site in format. It looks like the old site was run through an exporter of some kind to make it work on the new linux server. Its really ugly on the inside, its was probably the only way of doing it.

Any old backup would need a Windows server to restore which isn't there any more. I'll figure it out or at least try before I call Doc for help.

Thanks Doc for all the hard work, diligence and late nights you gave to keep HMS OneGuy afloat...and for all those great photos you posted. Time now to push the other boat out! Best wishes from Mr and Mrs Tiz! :cool4:

Yes, thanks Doc for all your work in creating and maintaining this site over the years. I'm sure you will let us know when you finally set sail.

Is there any way we could see your progress? Thinking down the lines of boats ident on online map or something like that. Or are you looking for complete anonymity when you sail off into the wild blue yonder?

The archive link is going somewhere a bit weird at the moment, I'm attempting to isolate the issue with the old site link. Think of it as a respite from the error message it was giving. :)

You take your time Pluggy. From what I know about you, you'll worry the problem to death, don't let it take over! One thought about donations, every now and again post how much the donations bar is short of its target. There are enough members who will make sure it is always in front of the server charges.

Click it to get the this page where you can make a donation. It's at the halfway mark as I write on 29th March...
