Manufacturer Dies at Barnoldswick
Barnoldswick people will regret to hear of the death of Mr. Moses Horsfield, of 75 Gisburn Road, who passed away at the age of 84 years last Friday.
Mr. Horsfield, who was a cotton manufacturer, was a native of Barnoldswick, where he had lived all his life. He leaves a son, who is carrying on the business at Wellhouse Mill, where Mr. Horsfield was active immediately prior to his death.
The funeral took place in Gill Cemetery, when the Rev.G.L. Tompkins officiated.

MANUFACTURER'S DEATH -
The death occurred on Friday of Mr. Moses Horsfield, aged 84, of Gisburn Road, Barnoldswick. A native of the town, Mr. Horsfield was well known as a business-man, first as a pork butcher, and later as a cotton manufacturer. He was at Calf Hall and Bankfield sheds, before moving to Wellhouse Mill, where the firm which he established still operates. He was a director of the Calf Hall Shed Company. Always a popular man, Mr. Horsfield had many friends, and the deep respect in which he was held by those who had worked for him was proved by the many people who watched the cortege pass on Monday, including all the operatives of the mill. Mr. Horsfield is survived by a son. Funeral services at the house and at the graveside at Gill, were conducted by the Rev. J.L. Tompkins.
